The final chapter is Varanasi — one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and the spiritual heart of Hinduism. A morning boat ride on the Ganges passes the ancient ghats as priests perform their rituals and pilgrims take their sacred baths, followed by a temple visit and an afternoon excursion to Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon 2,500 years ago. The evening Ganga Aarti — fire, chanting, and floating lamps — brings this unforgettable day, and the tour, to a transcendent close.

Welcome to India! Your Discover India representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. The afternoon is free — explore Connaught Place or Janpath Market before tomorrow's first full day.
A full day covering the best of both Old and New Delhi. Begin at the Red Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Mughal empire's greatest fortification in red sandstone — then Jama Masjid (one of South Asia's largest mosques) and a classic rickshaw ride through the spice, silver, and saree lanes of Chandni Chowk. Continue into New Delhi for Qutub Minar — the world's tallest brick minaret — and Humayun's Tomb, the architectural forerunner of the Taj Mahal. Round off the day with a drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the garden boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi.
After breakfast, check out and drive southwest to Jaipur (5–6 hours). Arrive and check in to your heritage hotel. Evening free for a gentle introduction to the city — the walled old city's terracotta-pink streets, rooftop cafés, and the first glimpse of Hawa Mahal's extraordinary facade lit at dusk.
A full day in Jaipur. Amber Fort at first light before the day-tripper coaches arrive. The royal City Palace (still home to the Maharaja of Jaipur). Jantar Mantar — a UNESCO World Heritage astronomical observatory containing the world's largest sundial. The Hawa Mahal's extraordinary 953-windowed screen facade. Drive east toward Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri — Emperor Akbar's magnificent ghost city built in 1571 and abandoned within 15 years. The Buland Darwaza (Gate of Victory), Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Salim Chishti are extraordinary. Continue to Agra, check in to your hotel, and enjoy an evening at leisure — perhaps a rooftop dinner with views toward the Taj Mahal.
Rise early for the Taj Mahal at sunrise — perhaps the single most celebrated view in all of India. Return to your hotel for breakfast, then visit the imposing Agra Fort before checking out. In the afternoon, you're driven back to Delhi (around 4–5 hours) and dropped at the airport in time to connect with your flight to Varanasi. Arrive in Varanasi and transfer to your hotel for the night.
Rise early for a boat ride on the Ganges as the city wakes — the most remarkable morning in Indian travel. Glide past the ancient ghats where priests perform morning pujas, pilgrims bathe in the sacred waters, and the city's 3,000-year-old spiritual life unfolds before your eyes. Afterwards, visit one of Varanasi's revered temples before returning for breakfast.
In the afternoon, drive to Sarnath — just 12 km from Varanasi — where the Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, 2,500 years ago. The Dhamek Stupa, the Ashoka Pillar, and the excellent Archaeological Museum make this one of Buddhism's four most sacred sites. In the evening, witness the mesmerising Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat — synchronised priests, conch shells, and floating lamps in a fire ritual performed without interruption for centuries.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport for your flight back to Delhi. Our team will ensure a smooth transfer and timely departure, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through the Golden Triangle and the spiritual heart of Varanasi.

After your Agra city tour, you'll be driven back to Delhi (around 4–5 hours) and connect onward with a short domestic flight from Delhi to Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport the same day. We arrange this routing in advance as part of your itinerary; the flight itself is quoted separately based on your travel dates.
