Royal Heritage meets Coastal Paradise
Embark on a captivating journey through India's Golden Triangle and the coastal paradise of Goa — a perfect fusion of cultural grandeur and sun-soaked relaxation on this 8-day tour.
Begin in Delhi, India's extraordinary capital, where the Red Fort's red sandstone ramparts, Qutub Minar's 12th-century tower, and the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk paint a vivid portrait of a city that has been at the centre of the world for millennia.
Travel to Jaipur, the Pink City, and spend a full day exploring the amber-hued Amber Fort, the royal City Palace, the UNESCO Jantar Mantar observatory, and the iconic Hawa Mahal. The city's gem and textile bazaars offer some of the finest shopping in all of India.
In Agra, the Taj Mahal at sunrise is the undisputed highlight of the Golden Triangle — and perhaps the most beautiful thing you'll ever see. Agra Fort and the 'Baby Taj' extend a day already laden with the finest architecture in the world.
The final three nights unfold in Goa — India's most laid-back destination. Portuguese colonial churches, golden beaches, swaying palms, and a cuisine that fuses Konkani and Lusitanian traditions make Goa unlike anywhere else in India. North Goa's vibrant markets and beach shacks contrast with the quiet coves and cashew-scented forests of the south. This is where India comes to exhale.
What makes this journey special
Your journey, unfolded
Welcome to India! Your Discover India representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. The afternoon is free to explore Connaught Place or Janpath Market. A relaxed introduction before sightseeing begins.
A half-day Delhi tour covers the most iconic sights efficiently: Red Fort, Chandni Chowk (rickshaw ride), Raj Ghat, India Gate, and Humayun's Tomb. After lunch, check out and drive to Agra (3–4 hours). Arrive and check in. Visit Agra Fort and the exquisite Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb (the 'Baby Taj') in the golden afternoon light.
Rise early for the Taj Mahal at dawn — the most famous view in India and entirely worth the early alarm call. Return for breakfast and checkout. Drive west toward Jaipur, pausing at Fatehpur Sikri — Emperor Akbar's 16th-century ghost city. Explore the Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Salim Chishti before continuing to Jaipur. Arrive and check in.
A full day in the Pink City. Amber Fort by jeep for the Sheesh Mahal and royal courtyard gardens. The City Palace — still home to the Maharaja of Jaipur. Jantar Mantar (UNESCO World Heritage). The five-storey Hawa Mahal. An evening in the gem and textile bazaars.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Delhi airport (5–6 hours, or we can arrange a Jaipur to Goa direct flight). Arrive in Goa and transfer to your beach hotel or resort. The rest of the day is entirely yours — the Indian Ocean is right outside, the beach bars are open, and the most relaxing section of the tour begins now.
Goa is far more than beaches. Begin the morning in Old Goa — the UNESCO-listed colonial quarter where the Basilica of Bom Jesus (holding the relics of St Francis Xavier) and Se Cathedral (the largest church in Asia) stand as monuments to 450 years of Portuguese rule. The state capital Panaji's pastel-painted Latin Quarter (Fontainhas) is one of the prettiest streets in India.
Afternoon: the beach. Calangute and Baga are Goa's most famous stretches — beach shacks, parasailing, and the finest fresh seafood you'll taste anywhere. Sunset from the clifftop at Vagator or Chapora Fort is unforgettable.
A day at your own pace in Goa. Options: explore the Anjuna Flea Market or Mapusa Market for spices, cashew feni, textiles, and handicrafts. Take a boat trip to Dolphin Point to spot spinner dolphins in the Arabian Sea. Or simply find a sun lounger on Palolem Beach (South Goa's most beautiful cove) and read a book. Evening dinner on the beach — Goan fish curry and cold Kingfisher beer is non-negotiable.
A final lazy morning in Goa — one last swim, one last coconut, one last Goan breakfast. Transfer to Dabolim (or Mopa) Airport for your departure flight. The tour concludes in Goa. Direct international flights connect Goa to London, Frankfurt, and several Middle Eastern hubs, or connect via Mumbai or Delhi.

Your questions, answered
North Goa is vibrant and social — Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, and Vagator are the most popular beaches with beach shacks, water sports, and nightlife. South Goa is quieter and more beautiful — Palolem and Agonda are stunning crescent coves lined with palms. We typically base guests in North Goa for convenience (closer to Old Goa and the markets) but can arrange South Goa properties if you prefer a quieter setting. We'd be happy to suggest the right hotel based on your preferences.
The most convenient connection is a domestic flight from Jaipur International Airport directly to Goa (Dabolim or Mopa Airport), or we can route via Delhi if direct flights are unavailable on your dates. We arrange the domestic flight and include a transfer on both ends. Flight time is approximately 2.5 hours.
October to March is ideal across all destinations — comfortable temperatures, clear skies, and the best conditions for sightseeing and outdoor activities. We strongly advise against travelling April–June due to extreme heat (40°C+), and July–September brings monsoon rains.
